Adam Sandler is hilariously funny. I've seen Happy Gilmore and after watching this I decided how wonderful this guy is. I've watched him on Saturday Night Live singing his wacky songs. His sense of humor is beyond what most comedians have done. I can sit there and watch "WaterBoy" for hours upon hours and still pass out laughing. I give his video 3 thumbs up if I had three of them. If you have not seen this film go get and rent it or buy it. Add to your collection and share among family and friends.
Silly, but has a message.
I was expecting this movie to be unbelievably silly and stupid (it is Adam Sandler), but it was truly funny and I enjoyed it. He plays the water supplier for a losing college football team. After tackling a player after he was teased, he is wanted by the coach to play. But his mother (Kathy Bates) has sheltered him because she doesn't want to lose him. She doesn't want him to play. Fairuza Balk is his girlfriend and stands beside him even though he isn't popular. Most people thought he was stupid or slow, but he really didn't develop people skills because of his mother's sheltering. The movie tries to show that parents need to let go of children a little to help them to learn to survive. But the film's primary goal is to entertain and be funny.
