a dirty spot in the maze
Shelley Duvall reads the endlessly repeated "all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy", and realizes her husband's mental illness; Jack Nicholson brutally breaks through the door of his appartment, announcing "Johnny's here!".

Such horror scenes stick to your mind forever. Unfortunately Stanley Kubrick spoils his genius by showing us a true out-of-reality performance by a 5 year old boy in the hotel's maze -- deceiving his pursuing, axe-armed father by making false traces in the snow.

This scene really is over the top. Making a dirty spot on an otherwise great, great horror movie.

A Thrilling Experience!!
This is one of those classic horror movies that you would keep on watching over and over again. Jack Nicholson plays a big role in the movie his acting is amaziing, makes it look so real. Loved it! this is one of the BEST HORROR MOVIES of time.
