What a movie memory this is!
This incredible musical movie is a treasure chest of talent. Energetic talented Robert Preston, dazzling beautiful Shirley Jones, tearful boyish all American young Ron Howard. When I remember the past, and that is frequent, this movie stands above the rest with a shining star at the top. Preston comes to River City, Iowa , ready to pull his con game on the innocent people and then run. But something very important happens in the process. He gives the small town people something to believe in, themselves.
Old Time Favorite
I already loved this movie before I bought it. My parents owned a video tape version which I grew up watching and loving.
I was curious about the new Music Man that just came out recently, and though it was good in itself, it lacked the energy of this original.
I loved it growing up, and I love it now. I'm just glad it's my very own now. =D
