The movie was freezing so I sent the movie back. Hopefully the replacement will be better.

Good idea, not a great movie (Spoilers)
This was a really interesting idea but I didn't think it was executed all that well.

The world isn't real? We're all living in virtual reality tanks? Cool. But this could have been done a lot better.

The romance between Neo and Trinity made no sense. They barely knew eachother and hadn't even spoken with one another all that much. Then at the end when she says she's in love with him and kisses him it brings him back to life! What the heck? I know they say love conquers all but I didn't know it could ressurect people. Talk about a cop out.

None of the characters were all that well developed either. You just didn't give a crap when Switch and Mouse and the other guy died because you hadn't gotten to know them. It was like "Oh, look! They're getting killeD! But we know Trinity or Neo will be fine 'cause they're SPEEESHUL!".

As for the fight sequences? Yeah, they are a bit cheesey but I have to say, those special effects are top of the line. They're just are good today as they were in 1999 and that's saying something.

Even though I don't think it's the greatest movie, I'd still reccomend watching. Maybe you'll have fun. But rent it first.

The movie that I had to see several times before starting truly appreciate it...
I went to see this movie drunk out of my mind, with a bunch of friends who were just as drunk as I was. The next morning, when I woke up, I thought to myself: "What the hell did we watch last night?" I mean, it wasn't the first time when I watched a movie while been under the influence of alcohol, but usually I had some kind of recollection as to whether I liked the movie or not. In this case, however, I couldn't remember much. I could recall a few scenes, but that's about all. All that I did remember was that the movie was very confusing and that I didn't really like it. About a month later, when all the buzz started going around this movie, I thought to myself that I might have missed something the first time and that I should see it again. And so I did. Bam! I couldn't believe it. I haven't seen anything like that before in my life. The action was good. But the story was simply mind-blowing. If you are a sci-fi, action, or a thriller fan, you're gonna love this movie!
