Excellent except for 1 flaw
Excellent, but there are a heck of a lot of scenes of Frodo crying, Frodo looking worried, Frodo complaining about the burden of it. Thats the only flaw in the movie, it turned Frodo into a girl.

Better than the theatrical version
Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings films are brilliant.

I really enjoyed The Fellowship theatrical version,but there
was a lot of stuff left unexplained in it.Like the gift giving
in Lothlorien.But the new Extended Edition corrected this.One
scene I particularly enjoyed was concerning hobbits,at the beginning of the movie.It just explained what hobbits are.I think this scene should have been in the theatrical.So people who have not read the book will get a better understanding of hobbits.And the rest of the new scenes just made the film better.

And thank you Amazon for shipping it to me in such great condition.It arrived on the first day of Spring,21 days before the stimated delivey date,which I thought was pretty good.

So even if you already own the theatrical version,try and get this DVD,it really is worth the money,and you will be able to enjoy it over and over.I also thought the Argonath polystone figures were just supurb.

Extended Version is Great
The extended version of this movie is a must for those who have read the book. The added scenes restore the parts of the story that were glaringly absent from the theatrical release. They also make the story a little easier to follow for those who are not familiar with full story.

The sculptures of the Kings are well done.
