Guilty pleasure.
If you want to watch a dentist go on a killing spree then you've come to the right place, Corbin Bernsen plays a dentist who's life can't get any better, he has a succesful buisness and a beautiful wife and his patients know that he is a nice person.
That is untill he suspects that his wife is having an affair with the pool boy he slowly starts losing his mind untill he becomes a deranged homicidal maniac, Corbin Bernson is perfect for this role and doesn't go completley over the top like other horror film actors and elevates this low budget horror into an excellent film.
The dental torture scenes were very gruesome as you can see the whole thing in closeup in that persons mouth. The film was directed by Brian Yuzna who also produced the classic horror film Re-animator and directed a few good horror films himself like Society and Return of the living dead 3 so you know that this is going to be good, it also has Ken Foree of the original Dawn of the dead fame who has a small role as a detective.
I would have rather been at the dentist.
This is a very dumb, and boring movie. It could have been alot better with the gore and story. Its not entertaining of even amusing, just dull. I thought their were going to be more dentil touture, i was wrong. Their isn't even a point, maybe, "Don't hire poolboys." Or "Don't Have Corben Bernson be your dentist."
