Yar, you be here: The Crow > Customer Reviews The Crow Customer Reviews (13 - 15 of 51 Reviews)A Legend That Will Be Remembered
This movie has made millions at the Box Office, and won over many viewers' hearts. You can actually feel all the emotion. Brandon Lee did great. His performance is memorable. Still today, he is the perfect Crow. No one can potray this role better. He will be remembered forever. And with the songs and the action? This film is a LEGEND. Even today, with all the fast-paced Action/Thrillers being made, nothing surpasses The Crow. Yes, not even the Matrix films. If anyday, you are tired of watching all the cheesy crap around tv, then shove the Crow dvd in your dvd player, sit back and enjoy the action. This film was made to give Brandon Lee's last work a chance to breathe, and I'm VERY glad they completed it. Goodbye, Brandon. We all miss you. ----------------------------------------------------------------- "People Once Believed That When Someone Dies, A Crow Carries Their Soul To The Land Of The Dead. But Sometimes, Something SO Bad Happens, That A Terrible Sadness Is Carried With It, And That Soul Can't Rest. Then, Sometimes.. Just Somethings, The Crow Can Bring That Soul Back, To Put The Wrong Things Right..." ...BELIEVE IN ANGELS... Darkside review of the Crow
The Crow is one of the coolest movies I have ever had the pleasure to see. You know how Goth, black clothes, and creepy Halloween make-up looks cool but very few people can pull it off with looking like wanabee dorks? No idea what I'm talking about? Forget it. The crow is the cool idea that if you find true love but get brutally murdered a crow brings you back to avenge the wrong. You can dress up Goth and tear fother muckers apart for being the drunk, crack head, heroin, loser, thieves, and killers they are. Brandon Lee was born for this role. He is and always will be the best crow. His style, charisma, looks, the stunts and fight scenes it's all there and duct tapes your peekers to the screen. The music in the crow is perfect for the feel of the movie cool songs by My Life with the Thrill Kill Cult, Cure, and Rage. NUDITY: You get some quick flashes of breasts a hot Asian chick's round dumper, and that's it. But you don't watch the crow for T&A. It's about action and there's plenty. The fight scenes are actually fairly brief but powerful and satisfying. You'll adore watching the crow hunt down shred his enemies. In order to make a good action flick you absolutely must have a great villain(s) (like Darth Vader, The Joker form the first Batman). The villains in the Crow are all memorable and good. Smart and evil. `I ain't Skank, Skanks over there, Skanks dead". "Fire it up! Fire it up!" Great lines from the movie The crow is a beautiful movie to watch. It captures the dark gloomy antihero feel. I recommend it check it out. CROW'S ENCOUNTERS
Unfortunately, this often brilliant film carries the stigma of being the film in which its star, Brandon Lee, was killed on the set before filming was done. Without focusing too much on this tragedy and in looking at the film itself, THE CROW is a dark, somber look at a young man whose untimely death is somewhat redeemed in his return from the dead to seek vengeance on the men responsible for his and his fiancee's brutal murders. With Michael Wincott as the appropriately vile chief villain and Ernie Hudson as the cop who helps him out, Lee manages to get his desired revenge. The settings are dimly lit at times, adding to the comic book visuals of the film and there are occasional flashes of dark humor that foreshadowed what a competent actor Lee was and whose bright future was suddenly ended. A visually stunning film, that spawned three sequels.
