The Complete Prisoner Megaset Reviews
Strangest show of all time on DVD!
This has got to be one of weirdest and strangest television shows of all time but it's a classic nevertheless. A man who served as a spy resigns with all of his secrets and sent off to The Village. Escape is not possible although our hero Number 6 tries to out wit his jailers. That is until he is faced with the white balloon known as Rover. Rover was the real reason I enjoyed the series especially Free For All. This is a great collection to have. The series is still enjoying its following nearly 40 years later. You have to watch it from the beginning to get the full picture!
art is a game played in perceived realities
yes, now you know the real secret. life is a game best played in your head. if art is its own reality, and if life is affected by art, then art worth living is life worth pretending exists. so to be free you must invent your own reality. you invented it, and now you must admit it. and to define it, to defend it, to disguise it, just won't do. run, run, faster and faster, you will get there, to a new reality where free is free and you believe in you, and their games, yes their games, only amounted to an amusement desgined to amuse you.
do you like games? do you like to be amused? you like to imagine meaning is mandatory and process is profound? you like to move pieces and play any game? you like to be free. you like to pretend. you are free to pretend. and that is the point of the game, and the triumph of art.
and by the way, tick tick tick. who invented time and why is it so loud? artificial devices always call attention to themselves, like they are real. ticking and ticking, what are you counting? what is time? and how do you measure it? does clicking serve a purpose in determining time? only if in even intervals and even then how can you be sure of it? suppose the beat was off, oh no, then time doesn't exist? so where will they keep reality? surely it must go somewhere, and without a location, oh there are no locations either. so you can make some up, name them, and just start counting. now you have time and reality, and just need something to move the time while pretending to believe it exists? this show, surely, might do the trick.
