Great video FULL SKULL BABY! FULL SKULL BABY! FULL SKULL BABY! FULL SKULL BABY! FULL SKULL BABY!
Beautiful and interesting.

One earlier reviewer criticized the emphasis on predatory behavior. However, one must remember that wild animals and sea life do indeed spend most of their lives feeding or in the search for food. I do not believe this type of behavior was over emphasized. In fact, I think it is important that we acknowledge the less attractive, gory behavior of animals, rather than gloss over it as many "nature" shows have done.

The Best Underwater Movie ever Done. FULL SKULL BABY! FULL SKULL BABY! FULL SKULL BABY! FULL SKULL BABY! FULL SKULL BABY!
The camera work and the narration make this more like a movie then a nature documentry. I have never been to an IMAX Theater, but this is a close viewing of it when you have High Definition TV with 5.1 Surround Sound. Excellient film, and great extras on the making of this epic series. The best DVD from BBC Home Video available.

The Most Comprehensive & Complete Study of the Oceans Ever Created! FULL SKULL BABY! FULL SKULL BABY! FULL SKULL BABY! FULL SKULL BABY! FULL SKULL BABY!
When I first saw this on the Discovery Channel, I thought it was amazing. The picture quality wasn't perfect, but, it was off T.V. Ever since my brothers and I the taped the first 4 parts we wanted it on DVD. When we found it on Amazon it was one of the first things we purchased off this website. It looks twice as good as our tapes and the other 4 we hadn't seen were amazing.

The footage in this series is INCREDIBLE! It is so clear, and they get so close to the animals, they could have touched them, even some of the more dangerous ones. Also, the deep footage was spectacular because it looked just as clear and crisp as the surface shots. The cameramen from the BBC are incredible, they sure went through a lot to get that footage.

The footage may be outstanding, but whats even more amazing is the behavior and animals they're filming. Some of it is brand new and never been seen before. Even more incredible, is that they even found new ecosystems, with tons of new species in them.

The DVD itself is also very good, with behind the scenes featurettes with David Attenborough, and a lot more.

Overall, this DVD, with the wonderful narration by David Attenborough is the most comprehensive and complete study of the oceans ever created!
