Racist crap
I used to be a fan of Spielberg when I saw movies like Amistad and Schindler's list. Then I saw "Temple of Doom" and my perception changed dramatically.
I guess one can say that while the former two are supposed to be moral movies, this one is supposed to be an adventure and hence artistic licence justifies the lack of logic.
But then the depiction of India and Indians is simply horrific and the white man delivering the Indians from other evil Indians and the Brits saving the day in the end seems like a third-rate justification of colonization.
The other two movies are decent adventures.
At the end of it all - "Temple of Doom" just spoilt it for me.

First one is the favorite, but get the set!
The first Indiana Jones will always be my favorite. I was at an adventurous stage of my life when it came out, and the boulder rolling down toward him in the first scene only wet my appetite to go on Safari or tromp through a jungle for myself! The sequels are good too, and I like the interaction between Indiana and his father in the later movies. Their relationship adds more depth to the characters. And of course, a good love interest can always bring new twists to an adventure story.
