Some great adventure movies
The Indiana Jones trilogy contains some of the best adventure movies ever made. They all have a distinct plot but they all revolve around a very neat adventure that blends in bursts of comedy. Harrison Ford is great as Indy and the adventures never cease to amaze. Like the Back to the Future Trilogy, these movies sre for adults and children. Everyone will love these classics. The first one is the classic one becuase it started the series and the second incorporates lots of lava and some "nasty food." Also, look at the name of the club in the opening scene of the temple of doom. It's called club Obi-Wan. Get it? The last Crusade has also some comic moments like when Hitler signs Indiana Jone's book. Sean Connery adds a lot to that one!
So, these are great adventure movies with some great comedy and will leave your whole family exited to watch the next in the trilogy. An then you'll just have to rewatch the whole trilogy again!
Only the first movie is good, the rest suck
Why can't they sell "Raiders of the Lost Ark" by itself? The second and third films in the series are both godawful. Do they package them toegether because otherwise no one would shell out cash for those two hunks of celluloid garbage?
Greatest Trilogy Ever!
I'll keep this short and to the point as the other 429 reviews saying how great this movie is say it all. I want to make more a comment defending the movies (specifically Temple of Doom) against a criticism of the darkness and violence. The world is full of good and bad and to make a movie showing one and not the other would be unbalanced. All the good and heroism of Indian Jones would be lost if it didn't have an equal and opposing theme of evil and darkness. This is what Indy is really fighting in the end! Yes, he seeks treasure and priceless mythical artifacts- that seems to be his sole motivation. But, he always, and seemingly unwillingly and with some conflict, is dragged into these moral heroic savior type missions, which he performs, but always with one eye on the treasure. And that is a great blend giving the movies comical yet intense plot.
Lets not forget these movies pale in their violence compared to anything released today. And with the Indy trilogy it's not violence for the sake of violence. It is used creatively and intelligently giving the movies the intense edge everyone experiences when watching them.
Best movies ever!!!
