StrangeLand Reviews
horror does not get any better than this...dee rips...
I waited forver to see this movie, it was well worth it. No let down here, but it is Dee Snider we are talking about, so you could figure that this movie was gonna be awesome. The music is a great compliment to this sick and twisted, yet wonderfully put together, soon to be a classic, movie. This is the first true horror film that has come along in a long time. This is no SCREAM or I KNOW WHAT YOU DID...it is true horror, something not seen since the 80's. If you are a horror buff and have been waiting for something that is truly worthy of being labeled HORROR, this is it. Man, you gotta see it to believe it. From the hard-hitting soundtrack to the stitches and scarification of one's body, STRANGELAND will make you squirm. Parents can take a lesson from this movie, as can kids of all ages. Not a family flick, but someone out there may have a twisted reality, so...better safe than sorry. Put this on the gotta see list. You will not be let down. I promise.
Despite the bad reviews, movie turns out good!
Ok kids, as many I heard this film was going to be so awesome and it had alot of publicity for a sort of independent film (It was at Ozzfest and had its own musical tour). I couldn't wait to see this film. I rented the film. From hearing all sorts of bad films, I expected to be pretty bad. I was wrong. This movie was pretty decent and holds up well.
The cyber world can be scary, and this film taps right into it. And what better than to hit the CHATROOMS (Capt. Howdy's domain)! I liked this movie and will probably buy it (once I get my paycheck).
The bad things about this film are the choppy editing and some not so great acting *cough* KEVIN GAGE *cough*. Dee Snider has impressed me with his new talent. I also liked the way he didn't let Capt. Howdy be bad all the time (love that sweater).
GO RENT IT!
