What was wrong with it?
this movie was ok. i was really interested at the beginning. but anyway i wrote another review on here and i am just SO sorry to the 1 person (so far) who didn't like it! come on it was a kids review! sorry im just a kid who didnt think a movie was all that great. cuz ya know i LIVE to please people on amazon.com! it just makes me mad. ya know some kids who write reviews (not me) probably cry when people dont like their reviews. so all im saying is just be a little nicer. im not too upset about it tho. i know that people have rights to their opinions, and thats why i chose to write a review! i just didnt like the movie all that much. it had its good points, but it wasnt my favorite movie ever and i wanted to get the word out to people who might see it incase they were wondering. but if they're not i'll just stop reviewing stuff. i guess SOMEONE had to be the bearer of bad news. in a way i'm glad they were. it sure was a wake up call!

Read the Novel instead or wait for a remake
Recent remakes of old Stephen King movies (i.e. Carrie, Salem's Lot, The Shinning) have been relatively well done and entertaining, but if any others should be made ... IT should defineately be at the top of the list. I saw this movie back in the early 90s and thought it was good. I have since read the novel and recently rewatched IT again, and found a lot of the scenes to be incredibly cheesy and poorly made. There was an incredible amount of important material in the novel which was missing in the film and the changes that were made between the novel and the movie were NOT for the better. Yes, I give lots of props to Tim Curry and a few of the performances by the kid actors stood out, but overall, looking back, this movie could of been so much better.
