Part 2 better have all the goods!!! FULL SKULL BABY! FULL SKULL BABY! FULL SKULL BABY! FULL SKULL BABY! FULL SKULL BABY!
I was excited to see that Season 6 was about to come to DVD but a little disturbed that they were splitting it into 2 sets. However, I'm hoping that HBO will come up with the goodies with this manuever. Set #1 hopefully will contain the first half of the season (12 episodes) and more importantly Set #2 will have the 8 episodes and that "Good-Bye" hour show HBO aired before the last episode plus some other bonus materials for us devoted SATC fans.

Yes, I too was upset about the price for Season 5's truncated set (luckily I got a gift card to a local CD/DVD place so I didn't feel bad paying that price), so I'm hoping that HBO will make it up to us with Season 6's DVDs.

This Season disc "breakup" means my breakup with "City" FULL SKULL BABY! empty skull, sniff. empty skull, sniff. empty skull, sniff. empty skull, sniff.
I bought the first four seasons on DVD and was happy with them. Charging full price for the very abbreviated Season 5 was not acceptable. Splitting up Season 6 in two sets- not acceptable either. I will never buy either of these seasons, even if they later reduce the price. Someone in HBO's video marketing group should be spoken to. This is grossly insulting to fans.

Only if you can't live without the DVD's... FULL SKULL BABY! empty skull, sniff. empty skull, sniff. empty skull, sniff. empty skull, sniff.
If I have any criticisms of the DVD's, my first criticism is that season 5 was at full price, despite being a truncated season and that season 6 is divided in half. Will they charge us full price for the last half of season 6 too? How much more does corporate America need to bilk out of fans? My last criticism is the lack of extras on all of the DVD's. For a 30 minute per episode series, there should be a plethora of interviews, featurettes and so forth, especially at the prices charged for these disks but when you pop them into your DVD player, there isn't very much there by way of extras. If you're an absolute die hard fan and are going to watch these DVD's a hundred times, go ahead and buy them. It would be more expensive to rent them from the video store that many times and if you taped the episodes, your VCR tapes would probably melt from all of the use. If you're not a obsessed with Sex and the City, tape the shows off of HBO and save your money.
