Poop is too funny
Come on, people! Are you from France? Don't you get it? This is a funny, dumb movie that works. It's trying to be funny. The dog blood on the wall, the behind the scene look at the rich old lady's business, Danny DeVito screaming, "I'm screwed!" Sorry, you uptight "serious film critic" this is worthwile.

Not as funny as I thought it was going to be.
Norm Macdonald is funny on SNL, but watching an hour and a half of him is not.

David Chappelle is pretty damn funny!

Danny DeVito is the best actor in this movie. His character is outstanding.

Some more good actors in this movie are: Elaine Stritch, Sherman Hemsley, and Daniel Benzali.

If I knew then what I know now, I wouldn't rent it.

So maybe it's not Shakespeare...I loved this!
"Screwed" has become nearly a national joke. People have criticized everything from lack of entertainment to more specific things like cinematography. I saw this movie last weekend and went into it not knowing what to expect. Knowing that Norm MacDonald was in it made me want to see it, but the reviews had been awful. After about 25 minutes, it wasn't all necessarily laugh out loud funny but more wry, chuckle-inducing humor. Then for some reason, events in the movie just seemed more funny to me than others in the theater. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars was because, okay maybe this isn't really deep stuff, but if you take off your sappy-movie watching (i.e., The Cider House Rules) glasses and watch for a minute through human eyes, even if it's just a guilty pleasure, you gotta admit, this is a pretty funny movie.
