I really enjoy this purchase. I laugh each time that I view each show regardless of how many times I see it. I am not that old, so knowingly they are all repeats and they are funny each and every time. First 3 seasons are the best
Sanford and son is one of the best sitcoms ever produced in America. The first 3 seasons or maybe the first 4 are the best. After Fred and Lammont turn the "junk yard" into a hotel , the show seems to go down-hill, in my opinion. Aunt Ester always adds laughs to the show, with Fred using her as the brunt of many jokes, however Aunt Ester gets her point across, in a very funny way as well. Although Redd Foxx was no where near the age he played on the show, he did it so well you believed he was 65 or more even though he was only in his early 50's when the show started. I had the pleasure of going to one of Redd Foxxes shows in Las Vages, one of his last, and seeing him in person. I will never forget this experience. He had, as a guest performer Slappy White, and another comic whoes name I can't remember in the Vegas show. Redd was a preformer you had to see in this environmemt in order to appreciate his comic genious, although risque' humor. He is and will always be one of the greats, but with these DVDs he will live on forever. Thank God for Dvds. Humor keeps you young and healthy. One other thing which impressed me is Mr. Foxxes use of "friends" he grew up with and other actors who had a slim chance of getting jobs on any other show. He was a total friend, to the end. this is a Classic Show&I love Me some "Sanford&Son". don't a day go where I don't watch my DVD's or not watch an episode on Tv Land. this is Probably my all time favorite Show. Redd Foxx is a Genius. Fred Sanford is a way of Life that i can relate to.I dig the Un-cut&saying what you feel element that made this show so special&Ground-Breaking as it was.the Whole Cast Brought so much Personality&the chemistry was always there.
