Historically innacurate
While the legend surrounding Robin Hood has always been shrouded with a large degree of uncertainty, speculation that he was a fox with an American accent who was followed around by a singing rooster has been discounted by even the most open minded of historians. And I think it is safe to assume that the fight between Friar Tuck and the Sheriff, which ends when a buzzard on the Sheriff's back throws a sack over his head and clamps a chain around his neck, never happened. Check out Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves for a more accurate portrayal of history.
A great movie.
Though the ending was a little disappointing. It's cool that King Richard came back and straightened everything out; and that Robin and Marion got married, but they should've SHOWED those things happening. Not just cut to the bad guys doing hard labor and Robin and Marion walking out of the church. But other than that, I loved this movie.
Good!
I first watched Disney's Robin Hood movie on The Disney Channel sometime in the 1980's and I liked this movie and thought it was cute. The animation isn't done by a computer but was done the old fashioned hand drawn style and is very charming and the voice actors did good jobs and also the songs are cute and catchy and I recommend the movie to anyone who likes Disney movies.
