NERDS!!!!!
A truly perfect movie, the 1984 Revenge of the Nerts still wows viewers today, and for good reason. Generally acknowledged as a bona fide classic, this Jeff Kanew film is one of those rare experiences that feels perfectly right from beginning to end--almost as if everyone involved had been born to participate in it. Starring Robert Carradine as the nerd leader Louis with his devoted sidekick Gilbert played by a young Anthony Edwards. Larry Scott was amazing as the gay nerd Lamar and who could forget Curtis Armstrong's performance as the lovable Dudley "Booger" Dawson.
This is the sort of film that looks back on a life and says the battle was its own reward, not the glory. The Tri-Battle for their rightful position at Adams College is truly uplifting. Carradine is very moving as a boy who becomes a man and watches his world change, often in unexpected ways, through painful determination.
