Timeless
I love Quantum Leap!! It's so exciting to be able to enjoy shows of the past. I was hoping to share it with my 8 year old son, who is very much into science and science fiction, but after previewing it, I quickly changed my mind. It is not for children his age. Too many adult situations. Al constantly talks about his love life and being with women. And the morals are tailored to adults, as well. I still love it like I did when I was young, but I was a teenager when I first started watching it. So, my advice, hold off for awhile if you think this is family entertainment. I backed out after the first episode.

I'm a Leaper!
I love Quantum Leap, but I do feel that Season 1 got off to a shaky start. Still, the rest of the series built on what was established in Season 1.

I give this four stars, which is still good! Seasons three through five, I would give five stars. It was a terrible shame they canceled Quantum Leap after the strong fifth season.

Season One is where the writers got their footing in creating an ultimately fantastic show.

A Great Series
I took the advice of many reviewers before me and so I have bought Season 1 to 3 from Amazon.uk. It was well worth it to have the original music! (I had made the same mistake with my "21 Jumpstreet" series. Now I have to find out from someone if the music from that series is complete in the UK version too!) I had forgotten many of the storylines, and found myself enjoying each episode as if for the first time. I was impressed at how Scott Bakula's handling of his "leaps" seems so real, that I found myself laughing out loud or acutely embarrassed along with him. Such a good thing to have new audiences appreciate the show again now.
