Goldie Hawn, back in "Private Benjamin" territory
Goldie Hawn re-treads "Private Benjamin" territory with this charming comedy from 1984, PROTOCOL. She plays ditzy Washington waitress Sunny, who unwittingly saves a dignitary from an assassination attempt and as a reward, lands a high-paying job in the Government. Hawn basically recycles her character from "Private Benjamin" (a similar-themed comedy, which she also produced). Fans will no doubt enjoy the ride. Pleasant comedy. With James Staley, Chris Sarandon, Ed Begley Jr., Jean Smart and Kenneth Mars.
Needs a widescrren release
WB needs to rerelease this in widescreen. It ain't right to release widescreen filmed movies on dvd in Full screen only
