I say, fight the real enemy!
This is a great movie, I just watched it on HBO last night for the first time in years. I really enjoyed the performance of "Roseanne" star Sara Gilbert playing the introverted Sylvie "Coop" Cooper. Sylvie stands out because she is believable and not one-dimensional.
Drew Barrymore was also fine playing Ivy, the bleach-blonde teenage girl that attaches herself to Coop. Ivy is made out to be the villainous. But what about the character of Darryl Cooper (Tom Skerritt)? He is a middle-aged married man having a sexual relationship with a teenage girl while is wife is dying. I say, fight the real enemy!
