Play Mate of the Apes Reviews

Classic Seduction Cinema!!! FULL SKULL BABY! FULL SKULL BABY! FULL SKULL BABY! FULL SKULL BABY! FULL SKULL BABY!
I first saw this movie on Cinemax. Being that this is the first SC release (to my knowledge) to premiere on national TV, you know it has to be decent at best. But decent would be an understatement! Hands down, this is John Bacchus' greatest work to date. It is a no brainer that this is a spoof of Planet of the Apes. This parody is hilarious! John Bacchus shows his acting potential as General Laid with several humorous punchlines in much of his dialogue. As always, Misty Mundae and Darian Caine give outstanding performances. Mundae plays an Air Force pilot/ astronaut who along with her crew get captured by the Apes for trespassing so to speak. I think it would have been nice to see Ruby LaRocca or AJ Kahn but females casted were an excellent supporting cast. The female interactions were more erotic than I've ever seen in a Seduction Cinema film. There was plenty of hot, passionate kissing and the simulated sex was top value. I found the Polish sensation simply known as Anoushka to be rather sexy for some reason (perhaps because she is Polish). Overall, Playmate of the Apes is funny, sexy and entertaining and a great way to waste an hour and a half. IF John Bacchus would stick to the formula he used when working on this film, he would have a hit every time!

One of the worst films I have ever, ever seen. FULL SKULL BABY! empty skull, sniff. empty skull, sniff. empty skull, sniff. empty skull, sniff.
Words all but fail me when it comes to attempting to convey how bad this thing actually is. Although it may claim to be "satire," one requirement of satire is that... there actually be some humor present. That would be difficult to achieve, since as far as I can tell the script was written by a misogynistic nine-year-old boy weaned on a steady diet of "The Benny Hill Show." Satire takes some actual brain-wattage; none is present here.

The actresses portrayed on the box art are *nowhere near so alluring* in the actual film, although to be fair there are women present who look even worse than they do.

So, in short, if you enjoy seeing physically unpleasing women continually make out with each other, [and generating all the heat of the average mini Christmas tree light bulb in doing so... and I mean just ONE BULB, not an entire string of lights] you may like this. A love of silicone implants and bad poetry will also stand you in good stead. Everyone else with a working brain, steer clear. It is one of those things of which may honestly be said, "I am now stupider for even having SEEN that."

The only reason it gets one star is because 0 stars is not an option.
