Garbage, just pure garbage
If you want to spend your time or money on something on December 7, 1941, then buy or watch Tora, Tora, Tora. Pearl Harbor was just plain garbage and I was totally disgusted with this movie. Why oh why did they have to fictionalize the P-40 Warhawk aerial battle the way they did. The battle did occur, but not 10 feet off the ground and weaving around buildings. If they were going to play that much with history, then why not CGI the pilots into F-16s and shoot up many more zeros? While they were at it, the director could have decided to sink one of the two Japanese carriers since both were sunk later in the war. So what that it didn't happen during the Pearl Harbor battle as long as they got part of it right, right? Get rid of the nonsense romance part of the movie or by God find a real romance that occurred at that time and depict that. I think the director of this movie needs to have a sit down on Oprah's show so she can read him the riot act, similar to what she did with James Fry.

four stars for the attack two for sappy love story tied to it
i though the attack on pearl harbor was one of the best action/war scenes ever filmed. the silly story that gets you there isn't even fresh for a film made during the war. jon voight and cuba gooding jr. turn in fine if small roles. but really, couldn't they have come up with a better story than this one. just a waste

A real beautiful history movie
Hollywood succeeded in showing a recreation of the real story of the pearl harbor attack combined with a great love story, making the movie a joy for everyone to watch in your family. If you like action or drama movies, beautiful love story, history or educational shows, here you have it all. The quality of DVD and sound is great not to mention the acting and photography they are aven better. Highly recommended. Guaranteed you get your money worth.
