entertaining,fun, and it'll put you in a good mood
This is a great movie,I thouroughly enjoyed every bit of it, and the performance of Lee Marvin should've got him an oscar in this one, as well as Cat Ballou,also, exceptionally enjoyable to watch was Jane Fonda, and Clint Eastwood,all I can say is this movie is worth every penny , and it's still a bargain,definitely buy it, the other exceptionally great thing about this movie is the original soundtrack, which, after seeing the movie I had to order the original soundtrack,which was every bit as good as the movie.The movie and soundtrack should be offered together as a package deal, it's all that good.

A Childhood Gem! Eastwood & Marvin Rock!!!
This movie has gotten so much bad press over the years. Reputed to have been the final nail in the coffin of great musical, Paint Your Wagon is a complete classic. i grew up listening to the soundtrack record all the time. What can I say? Any movie with Lee Marvin and Clint Eastwood can't be as bad as all that, right? Right! This movie is f*cking hysterical! I can't get enough of it. All those bad reviews in the past were totally undeserved. Clint Eastwood singing? Classic! One of the greatest Soundtracks ever! I bought the CD a few years ago and listen to it every now and then. I reccomend this movie to anyone!

Stupid,dumb,but pretty good
This is one of the most funniest movies I've ever seen.Lee Marvin did a wonderful job in his comedic performance.Although I wished the number of musical songs had been reduced,overall the comedy is what made the movie.
