eye candy and little else
The production seemed more like an exercise in computer graphics "eye candy" than a serious study of string theory and the controversy surrounding it. The skeptics were given short shrift and, as expected, Green and the rest of the M-theory high priests proselytized as best they could (you gotta have faith). Try Sparkchamber (www.sparkchamber.co.uk/archive/elegant1.html) or do a Google search for "Multiverses and Blackberries" by Martin Gardner of "Scientific American" fame.

The Elegant Universe
In the NOVA persentation, I imagine the reason String Theory was not really explained is because no one knows enough about it yet.
It will be very interesting to see what knowledge develops in the years to come.
