Mr. Deeds
Adam Sandler plays a small town guy that inherits
billions of dollars. He falls in love with the woman
that is secretly using him to get the "dirt" on him
for the celebrity gossip magazine that she works for.
She ends up actually falling in love with him, but he
finds out that she is using him before she could tell
him the truth about herself.

To get it out of the way right off the bat, the Special Edition DVD is loaded with featurettes, deleted scenes and outtakes. The featurettes are very funny and they make a fine addition to the DVD edition.

This is not one of my favorite Adam Sandler movies, but it works for me. The supporting characters seemed to get the funnier parts this time around. John Turturo is hilarious as the foot-worshipping, sneaky butler. Sandler's other friends (that appear in each of his movies) also had great supporting roles. Sandler's Deeds himself was solid, but a bit more reserved in performance than some of his past characters.

The movie itself was based on a film from the 1920s, which may explain why it has a slightly different feel from Sandler's other films. The storyline is decent, but most of what makes the movie funny is what resides outside of the storyline, like the arbitrary characters that make appearances throughout the film.

Ultimately, the movie is entertaining, but it does seem to drag on a bit at points. I would recommend it to an Adam Sandler fan, but others may not find it all that interesting.

This is the best movie ever made. In the start Mr.Deeds uncle is climbing Mt. Everest and everyone with him says to go down but he continues to climb alone now. He freezes to a popsicle and the storybegins.

My favorite part is when Emilio the butler starts wacking Deeds foot with a fire poker and then accidently stabs Mr. Deeds foot. Also when Babe Bennet (Winona Ryder) and this guy who likes her go undercover and the guy mugs Pam Dosen which is Babe's disguise. And Mr. Deeds sees it and beats the poo out of him. Hope this helps
