Rough, Rugged And Raw
Standout performance from Denzel here - but is that a surprise anymore? What sets this apart from similar movies/plots is the level of ruthlessness that Denzel's character gets to - and that is what I loved about this movie. Catch a bad guy and what do you do, turn him in? Not in this movie - and without spoiling anything let me say Denzel gets very creative. One quote I love, "I wish you had more time" - sums up Denzel's character perfectly - check the movie out and see what I mean by that quote you won't be disappointed.
Moving, but tough to watch
Plot is similar to Transporter 2, but less "Hollywood" and much more raw. I thought the character interaction between the bodyguard and the little girl was excellent and the ending was very powerful. It's really a movie about redemption through revenge, which is definately food for thought.
