Hilarious and refreshing!
I absolutely love this movie! Makes me laugh outloud! :) Is a wonderful girl flick. Only for the open minded. ;)

Silly movie about shallow, superficial,annoying Girl.
After thirty minutes with Jessica Stein, your fingers will be itching for the Stop button. Seldom in the history of film has there been such an annoying, whiney nerd who happened to inhabit a physically desirable body. Solution? Her place really is in porno mags, not a movie.

The stereotypical Jewish family and horribly controlling Jewish mom doesn't quite endear this film to viewers, either. I kept wondering why it is that so many films dwell upon upper-class Jews living in New York City, when their percentage of the population in this country is below 1%.

I am sick of trendy, rich New Yorkers with nothing better to do than harp about their neurosises, like they are trendy status symbols, and talk about what they talk about with their psychoanalyst.

After watching half an hour of this silly, stupid clap-trap, I finished "Prisoner of the Mountains," about two Russian prisoners of a Chechnyan father attempting to negotiate for the release of his son. It was far better. A real movie about real people dealing with real issues.


Male-bashing
I just saw this movie, and it seems it was made to make straight men look like a-holes, but in a "nice" way. Every guy in this movie is either portrayed as angry, or neurotic and clueless about women. Furthermore, the men who are portrayed in a positive light are all gay. I mean, c'mon. I bet the directors and producers all hate men, even if they would not admit it openly. A straight, jewish, New York girl only runs into clueless, idiot straight guys, and as a result, has to turn to lesbianism for fullfillment. Please. Just another example of how much of the entertainment industry is run by women for women, even if its not openly expressed. I guess in a perfect Hollywood world, all the men would be gay and dickless, and talk all day about interior decorating and high art. Sorry, 2 stars for effort, but its all a subtle form of male-bashing. Womens rights? What about mens rights?
