the last great spaghetti western???
if i had not been set up by the first movie, id have given this a fifth star. it is indeed (i suppose) just as good as its partner, but i miss the sense of humor in part 1. and i miss gogo! still, carradine does neat homage to himself, and uma rox.
Bird of a Different Feather
It is now clear to me why this film was split into two volumes. They are completely different films! Sure the basic storyline is the same, but the styles could not be more diverse. Volume 1 was completely over the top and in your face, while this movie is very slow and deliberate. I'm very doubtful that anyone could love both volumes equally.
There are some great moments, such as the final showdown between Thurman and Hannah, but getting to these moments is slow going indeed. I will no longer look at this as a two volume epic, but simply a movie called 'Kill Bill: Unfulfilled Vengeance' or something like that.
