A junkie's rise to fame, then descent into the gutter.
This is a movie about a junkie. Born with a superb facial bone structure that lifts her out of her job as a short-order waitress and into the ranks of super-models, she stupidly wastes her big chance at the easy life by choosing street drugs to self-medicate away her anxiety and depression.

An interesting yarn in the beginning, but when she starts really going to ruin, it becomes a bit too much of a downer. I never like to watch long slow crucifixions, unlike apparently a sizable portion of the viewing public.

If she had possessed a friend like me, I would have suggested effective, harmless, beneficial sam-e (s-adenosylmethionine) instead of smack, pills or coke.

Losing an easy and glamorous career to street drugs really points out how stupid many of these super-models are, that all they have is their face and nothing in between their ears. A little knowledge of medicine, the human body, and psychology might be called for. A little more time with textbooks, a little less time primping in front of the mirror. I find all of the supermodels skeletal and hideous anyway. I don't know what anybody sees in them, and my genuine curiosity motivated me to rent this flick.


No problem with playing
There was no problem when playing this film on my DVD player, even though I did encounter playing problems with two other films ordered at the same time(Hombre, Quest for fire, see their rating).Best rgds, Jozsef Szucs
