THAT IS TRUE THAT YOU CANT DREAM WHEN YOUR UNCONCIOUS, BUT ITS ALSO NOT TRUE THAT A SERIAL KILLER CAN BE BURNED ALIVE AND COME BACK TO LIFE SO HE CAN GO INTO KIDS DREAMS AND KILL THEM THERE. ITS ALSO NOT TRUE THAT IF YOU GRAB SOMETHING IN YOUR DREAM, WHEN YOU WAKE UP IT COMES OUT. LETS SEE, OH YA AND THERES NO SOUCH THING AS FLYING PERAHNAHS MADE OF BONES AND FIRE. BUT WHO F^CKING CARES? THIS IS WHY THEY CALL IT A MOVIE! NOT EVERYTHING HAS TO BE TRUE YOU KNOW. BUT ALL IN ALL THIS MOVIE WAS GREAT! ITS PROBABLY ONE OF MY LEAST FAVS BUT ITS STILL A GOOD FREDDY MOVIE. NOT SCARY ONE BIT THO. I CANT WAIT UNTIL THE NEXT FREDDY VS JASON MOVIE! BUY THIS MOVIE!

One of the worst sequels of all time
This movie had great potential and could have been a great sequel. Unfortunately no one tried to follow through on it. The acting is horrible and the freddy deaths are like something out of a looney toons cartoon. Freddy delivers way too many one liners and they aren't even clever or funny. The idea of Freddy being able to travel to other Elm Streets and kill new victims was a great idea, but unfortunately the idea turns into $#!% on screen. The best part, seriously, is the end. Not the movie part but the credits. This is due to the fact that horrible movie is over and you get to see the deaths from other NOES movies. Catch it late at night on tv if you still desire to see it, otherwise avoid at all costs

Freddy might be "DEAD" but he's still ALIVE and KICKING!
Alot of people seem to miss the point with this movie. Granted it's not scary like some of the other sequals in the series but it does have it's fair share of "dark" moments. FREDDY'S DEAD is best described as a Horror Loony Tunes with blood and guts. The movie has a very cartoon-ish feel to it, which in my opinion isn't a bad thing. Personally I think it's amazing the director could put so many creative things in this movie, usually by the later sequals in a series things start to "suck." That isn't the case for FREDDY'S DEAD. This movie has alot going for it. This movie has great special effects and it was the first Freddy flick to be in 3D, although I don't think the DVD version comes with the special glasses. On top of some interesting visuals, it does have a good handful of gory scenes. One of my favorite moments is when this one kid is having a nightmare of himself falling from the sky. Just when he's about to hit the ground, Freddy wheels out a flat cart of spikes underneath him. Needless to say, it's a scene full of blood and screaming! Classic! Anyways, in my opinion this movie is alot better than what some people have posted on this site. It's funny, it's gory and it explains some key plot details to an otherwise "typical" slasher series. This 6th sequal explains alot more about Freddy and his past than the two movies before it! It's a wonderful sequal to an already wonderful Horror movie series. So if you plan on watching this movie, do so with a sense of humor. It's dark, it's funny, it's classic! So kick back and enjoy yourself with this one. If you want something a little more "serious" in nature, I suggest watching HALLOWEEN or some other over rated original popular movie.
