Ella Echanted- Based on WHAT Book?!!
I read Ella Echanted in 1 day and I loved it. I was happy to learn they were making a movie. And then I saw the preview.For starters...Where is Mandy? Char is not good looking and Ella looks way too old and the costumes look a bit off. The plot of Ella being 'echanted' by Lucinda doesnt even look like its strong.The stuff they show Ella doing in the preview looks really dumb and worst of all:The costumes arent pretty!
But after I saw the movie my opinion totally changed! The movie was really fresh and funny, like a medival take on modern life. But in truth it was NOTHING like the book but is a good movie by itself.
Ella Enchanted
I had never read Ella Enchanted, and thought the movie was very cute, and suprisingly funny! In typical Cinderella fashion, Ella is forced to put up with her two, malicious step sisters, and stepmother, who make her life difficult. Ella was given a "gift" of obedience by her fairy godmother at birth, and has to do whatever she is told. The story revolves around Ella's struggle to overcome her curse, and in doing so, assists others(the elves and giants) in overcoming their social and political problems. This movie is both witty and entertaining; i took my younger cousin and she loved it!
I read the book Ella Enchanted after seeing the movie, and did not enjoy the book half as much. I found this surprising, because i read the Harry Potter series after seeing the second movie, and enjoyed the books better than the movies.
