Makes the short list for a good date movie
Every single hetro guy should maintain a list of good date DVDs. Movies which you don't mind seeing again, arn't necessarily "chick flicks", but flicks that said chicks will enjoy, and that set the right mood for a good, gettin-to-know-ya kind of evening. "The Princess Bride" belongs on this list. And so does this movie. Its funny and romantic, never too serious, but also not fluffy or sacherine.

Don Juan DeMarco is one of the best.
Both Johnny Depp and Marlon Brando turn in star performances in this quirky little movie. Depp is a modern Brando who takes everything that he does and turns it into a better film. Brando could have played this one with his eyes closed, but instead decided to envolope the part and turn it into a performance. The story is only so so. However, the interplay between these two actors is amazing to watch.

Just plain fun movie!
My 15 year old daughter and I watched this together and really enjoyed it. Both of us are die-hard Depp fans!We are going to put it on our list of "to buy" movies.The humor was good and adding to the cast Brando and Dunaway it couldn't have been any better.Bravo Johnny!
