When it comes to Doctor Who.....
There wouldn't be a Christopher Eccleston if there had not been a Patrick Troughton. There also would not have been a Jon Pertwee, Tom Baker or Peter Davison, for that matter. Basically Troughton made the whole regeneration thing work. In those days it was called renewal. He chose not to simply mimic what William Hartnell diid thus setting in stone that each time an actor takes over as the Doctor, he does not have to play it like his predecessor, which no doubt has aided the programme's longevity. The SEEDS of DEATH give us a perfect illustration of what I am talking about, as it features the Troughton incarnation at his very best. This comes highly reocmmended and you should consider ordering The SEEDS of DEATH today if you want to see what Doctor Who was like waay back in the Sixties!
