gotta love this was sooo excited to see this. Madonna at her best (well in my opinion) and just pure 80's fluff and fun.
Relive the past, love the music and enjoy!! I know I did and have introduced this to a whole new generation with much enjoyment.

Streetwise and Wise-cracking - Madonna in a role made for her
Madonna's first big screen role as Susan was supposed to be a star vehicle for Rosanna Arquette. Instead it kick-started the multi-media fame of Madonna as singer, artist, actress, etc. While the big city street smart Madonna played Susan it was Arquette's role as a desperate housewife yearning to be Susan, that got lost in the story line. The film became all about Madonna and her street urchin look (very 80's) inspired many replicas around the world. Girls began dressing like her in a desperate attempt to be just like Madonna. In over 20 years, it hasn't change a bit. Interesting how the desperate housewife yearns for freedom while the free spirited and independant sees a white picket fence as a prison. Thanks Madonna - you saved us gals from a life of quiet desperation in the suburbs!
