Buena Vista (the company that releases Disney films on DVD) chose to not release anamorphic DVDs when they first came to DVD, so none of these films are anamorphically enhanced. This means, if you have a widescreen television, you will have black bars on all four sides of the picture. Also, these discs are absolutely barebones, only featuring a Dolby 2.0 soundtrack and a 1.85:1 widescreen presentation. Where are the extras?! I don't know about you guys, but I am a Mighty Duck fan who is disappointed by the DVD release of this film. D2 review
I thought that this sequel was very good. It was interesting to see the Duck get new members from different parts of the country. I liked it that the Ducks (team USA) got to play against teams from around the world in the Junior Goodwill Games. It was interesting that Iceland was like the Hawks in this movie- only tougher. At the end of the movie, when the Ducks were at the campfire, that they sang 'We are the Champians.' All in all, I thought it was a great movie. America will never forget this movie
This movie woke America up. It reminded us that our archnemisis was not Communist Russia, not Al Qaeda, and not infiltrating alien species...but Iceland! Iceland, with their black uniforms and Aryan features, they are the true opponent in America's struggle to be accepted in the world. They cheat, they play rough, they don't take any challenge easily. Beware the evil Icelanders... And beware sequals that not only choose goofy villains but practically repeat everything they did in the first movie and commit every sport movie cliche in the book.
