Jazz never looked so good
There has not been an anime sountrack that has fit so well into the atmosphere of the actual show like Bebop. A description of the show is actually quite simple. A ragtag group of bounty hunters (cowboys) flying through space collecting bounties. THe thing is, the past of these 4 cowboys is virtually unknown in the beginning. But as the series progresses, the past is revealed and the depth of the characters is shown. Starts off with Spike (former syndicate operative) and Jet (former ISSP(police) officer). Jet owns the renovated ship Bebop, and together track and capture bounties. On one of their hunts they had to find Ein (data dog), but decided to keep him. Then came Faye (awoken for deep sleep). She mistook Spike to be someone who was suppose to give her a chip and have her debt (in excess of thirty million wulongs). But she escaped and joined the crew. Ed (savant and female) helped them with a hunt, and in return was given the ok to join the crew. This is an awsome anime and features great graphics and Spike doing Jeet Ku Do (the martial arts created by Bruce Lee). Also check out the Movie. Definitly a top 5 anime contender, no mater your preference.

Anime has never been so good!
No series that I have ever seen in prime time television, cable, or imported anime, has ever compared to what Cowboy Bebop is.
It's a complete breathe of fresh air in a time where America is fascinated with the absolute worst our neighbors in the pacific have to offer. To know what I mean just watch a little bit of Saturday morning cartoons these days, or even the once respectable Toonami on cartoon network(who runs the show Bebop might I add....just at 1:00 am on weekdays) What you will see can not be described as either intelligent or original.
However Bebop manages to be both, intelligent and original, and then some. With its interesting cast of characters, who enthrall you from beginning to end of the series, some very impressive writing, excellent animation, and a soundtrack of American style blues and Jazz, so good it's hard to believe it was in made Japan. Its easy to see why this was a number one animated television show when it first aired.
It simply oozes with style, each episode a different approach from the last; the series never grows stagnant. It continues to grow along with its audience and leaves you with a sense of wonder in its creative dynamic presentation.
If you have ever even pretended to like anime, you will love Cowboy Bebop.....to give a Synopsis of the whole series would never do it justice.

The Modern Anime classic, Cowboy Bebop is out in boxset form and now is very rare.

You do not know what you are missing. Cowboy bebop is what one would call modern excellence. It fallows the lives of five not so heroic heros, Spike, Jet, Faye, Ed, and Ein, as they try to pass their lives as bounty hunters in the 2070s.

Cowboy Bebop has extremely excellent music from the famious composer, Yoko Kanno, and animation as well as a highly enjoyable shell plot for the first time views and reflected plots that tell the character's backstory, foreshadow the future, and critize real life.

Yes it does have a lot of hidden plot in it, because of it's outter plot most fans do not realize it and pass it off as a simple action series. However do not be fooled, as much fun as you have watching the action you will enjoy the reflected plot more.

This box set also comes with the first Original Sound track of Cowboy Bebop wich contains both Tank!, and Rain (as hear in the "Ballad of Fallen Angels" eppisode). The sound track is excellent and highly acclaimed. Very great jazz music that will remind you of the the 30s and 40s (the 2040s). I suggest buying the other CDs: No Disk, Vitaminless, Blue, Remixes for Freelance, and Future Blues from the movie. Amazon sells them also, and they are worth the perchase of import.
