FUNNY !
This is a feel good movie with the main players being Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall. Young Prince Akeem is about to be wed to a beautiful woman, but the problem is he does not love this women. He decides he will travel to Queens, NY In America and find his true love. Now how does a pampered Africian Prince
survive in Queens. Soon he falls in love with his bosses daughter and the story takes you through a tender courtship.
I loved her father, and the King and Queen were priceless!
This was a really fun movie! The wedding scenes at the end were beautiful and my favorite part. Well worth your time to watch!

Probably Eddie Murphy's Best!!!
I have watched "Coming to America" so many times that I have memorized just about every line in the film. "Coming to America" has to be one of the funniest films ever made, and probably Eddie Murphy's best work!

The film revolves around a prince, who is set to marry his future queen now that he's turned 21. However, the prince has doubts because he doesn't quite believe that a person should have to learn to love their spouse. He decides that he would like to find his own bride, so he and his friend begin a quest to America to find his queen. They end up in Queens, New York where everything is different from what he's used to. One day the prince finally sees the lady of his dreams and sets out to make her his wife.

Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall play numerous hilarious characters throughout the film that will have you rolling on the ground laughing! I would highly recommend this film to anyone who would like to watch a film that you can never grow tired of and laugh at repeatedly!!! You won't be disappointed!!!

Coming to America is without a shadow of a doubt a FUNNY and GREAT Eddie Murphy film. Eddie Murphy plays a African prince who is arranged to marry a woman, but he does not love this woman, so he goes to Queens to find his wife. Of course every character in this movie is either Eddie Murphy or Hall, including the old men in the barber shop. Now Eddie works in a rip-off of McDonalds called McDowells, and Eddie falls in love with the owner's daughter, but she is dating darell; a jerrycurl guy with good looks. Now Eddie wants to make sure that he lives poor, and he tries to live poor by moving into a poor Queens neighborhood and works at McDowells. Now he wants to convince McDowell's daughter without telling her that he is a prince. Then comes in his parents, and they want to know what happen to his son, now he must go back to Africa and get married. So as the movie moves along, it gets funnier and funnier and the movie is still funny after seeing it so many times. This is a classic, and very funny to watch over and over again.
