Broken Arrow Reviews
Just Brainless...
Broken Arrow was quite a disappointment, considering the makeup of the cast: John Travolta and Christian Slater among others.
The movie brings to the screen the story of a routine stealth bomber flight over the US gone awry resulting in the theft of the two nuclear missiles it was carrying.
In short, the acting is surprisingly average (!), the setting is pretty good, while the dialogues and the plot are below average.
The major setbacks are in relation to:
1) The brainless plot, the brainless action, and the brainless dialogues.
2) All the impossible situations that the heroes got themselves out of.
3) The Park Ranger. First she attempts to arrest a US Air force pilot (!) instead of offering assistance and then she turns into John Rambo for the duration of the film! She is a Park Ranger for crying out loud!
As for the rating, it should have been PG-13.
Though the potential for a good movie was definitely there it fails to take off, primarily due to the writers.
No masterpiece here.
almost as good as face off john almost as good as face
this is one of my favorite action movies of the 90s john travolta is at his peak when playing a villan he pulled it off in face off and now it this movie the bad guy characters that he usually play as are cool acting but at the same time does not play around also his other good bad guy performance was in swordfish which has feature the queen of female acting beauty halle berry chris slater was not a bad choice to play a good guy when i was younger he made me believe in his moderate acting skills but now that i am old i will probably be able to tell the difference and firgue out who would have been a more suitable good guy to play his part or could have at least be his good guy partner by tom cruise or val kimer could have joined forces with him to fight against john and his evil gang do not get me wrong christian is a decent to a good actor but he is a little less popular than john travolta but not by too much chris did have some help from his cute onscreen girlfriend who was a tough desert ranger the romance between the two of them helped me to also made the movie a bit more interesting broken arrow delory lindo another over the top actor made his appearance in this movie i wish i could see him in more movie but the little parts he is in he makes work meaning he could make a small acting part big he is that good some say he is as good as ving rhames and morgan freeman i am starting to believe that but for me to really be sure that he is that good i have to see him in more leading roles the movies that i saw him lead in is crooklyn which is one of my favorite movies of his and the other movie was romeo must die co starring jet li dmx anothony anderson and the beautiful aaliyah back to the broekn arrow this movie will have you pretty much on the edge of ur seats in some action and fight scenes believe me when i saw that
