It's not British, it's Australian
Another reviewer made the mistake of calling this a british movie...it is not, it's Australian. That fact is what makes the movie interesting. It's an Australian surfer movie...and that's not something that's too common. As a Zeta-Jones fan, I rented this and liked her in the role. Sean Pertwee and Ewan McGregor play their roles well enough to make this a passable moive. I would liked to have seen a bit more surfing footage, and a little less dialog (after all, this was supposed to be a surfing flick), but still, it wasn't too bad, and worth watching for Zeta-Jones fans.

Very cute movie. It portrays the life of 4 friends having what I guess you could call, a mid-life crisis. Ewan Mcgregor did a fantastic job of being the goofball in the movie. He was adorable. I was suprised by the movie, because it was a surfer movie, but it had a nice plot. A good plot. It was humorous how it all worked out.

Cult Classic
A very funny, typically British film about Surfing in Cornwall.
Great to watch with friends, picking up qotes/lines such as...
"It's not a turd Terry!" - JC "Well what is it then?! a round, brown fish?" - Terry
"Your Beautiful, I'm beautiful..." -as said by a fat silver Terry
"You are many things Terry but beautiful is not one of them"-Dean

A must see for any British Film fan...
There is Sean Pertwee and Ewan McGreggor for the girls, and the sight of Catherine Zeta Jones in her underwear I am pretty sure will attract a male audience too.

GREAT FILM - shame about the unrealistic ending!!
