A great movie, my all-time Halloween favorite! FULL SKULL BABY! FULL SKULL BABY! FULL SKULL BABY! FULL SKULL BABY! FULL SKULL BABY!
When Adam (played by Alec Baldwin) and Barbara Maitland (Geena Davis) die in an automobile accident, it is just the start of their problems! Doomed to haunt their house for 150 years, it is taken over by a strange family that remodel it in a weird, artsy manner that sets the Maitlands on edge. Unable to get rid of the Deetzes, the Maitlands turn to a self-proclaimed bio-exercist, Beetlejuice (Michael Keaton). But, in this case, the cure might just be worse than the disease! [Color, released in 1988, with a running time of 1:32.]

This is a great movie, my all-time Halloween favorite! Everything seems to come together in this improbably hit. The acting is great, with Michael Keaton stealing every scene that he is in. Plus, the story itself is entertaining, and the characters quite interesting.

Now, as for family viewing, I must say I found this to be an OK movie. Beetlejuice himself is sometimes off-color, and there is one scene in which he dances towards a "whore house" (as identified by another character). But, overall, it is not too bad at all. I found this to be a great movie, and I enjoy watching it over and over again. I loved this movie and give it my highest recommendations!
