chances are if your looking at comments for this movie, there isn't much my or anyone elses words are going to kill your curiousity. to put it bluntly, the sex, although explict, is barely there. of the 77 some minute run time, it takes perhaps 5 total minutes. the violence of the rape scene and killings are somewhat graphic, but not nearly as shocking or graphic as one would think with this films hype. as for the dvd itself, it is horrible. 6 chapter stops. full frame- not sure what it's OAR is but it looks chopped, but perhaps that was due to lack of talent or on purpose as a style? the transefer seems horrible, i haven't scene the film anywhere else to compare, but it is sub-vhs. again could of been done on purpose, but i don't know. for me, someone who enjoys "video nasties" this movie is very disappointing. if you like and enjoy shot on video no budget horror movies, then you might as well get this. but if you are looking for something that lives up to it's "warnings", i think you'll only find dissapointment. if you can, rent it first.
Excellent Movie- Buy It!
First people need to learn the difference between a B-movie and a brillant written Independent movie. This is one of the most excellent independent films I have ever seen. Let me also add, this is also a foreign movie- so if your taste is not into subtitles and international cinema then you may not want to purchase it.
Now for the movie. I won't give anything away. This movie is about two women and their lives. Both are sick of the way they have been treated by society and people. The story tells a thrilling tale of what happens when someone snaps. That's all I am going to say about it.
The acting is superub and although never seen before, the actors/actresses pull off a dynamic performance that keep you watching, makes you think, and even at times make you blink.
This film is very sexually explicit, but not an ADULT FILM. Again people need to know the difference between pornography and a great story with some sex. I see why the director wanted to make this as explicit as it is, it would give the movie less impact if it didn't show some sexuality and sex.
Do not expect anything erotic about this movie. However some scenes are intriguing and even beautiful.
The film was well done and well made. I would recommend this movie to everyone. Children should NOT view this film. Also if you are easily triggered with your own personal stuff- Don't Watch It. However, if you feel able and ready buy this movie and see how wonderful it truly is.
The DVD allows you to turn off subtitles if you speak french. Also has Chapter headings, a Gallery, and some extra stuff.
