Abbott & Costello Meet Frankenstein Reviews

when scary meets funny FULL SKULL BABY! FULL SKULL BABY! FULL SKULL BABY! FULL SKULL BABY! empty skull, sniff.
are you kidding me who wouldn't like this movie it's one of those films that it doesn't matter how old you are or what decade it is it remains 100% enjoyable especially since all the positive reviews came from people who weren't even born yet this movie completely trancends time and will never lose the wit, fun, and charm that won people over the first time it's funny when it should be and scary when it should be it's too bad the same creative minds can't be around now they could teach today's Hollywood a thing or two about how to make a good movie

Jeepers! The Creepers are after Bud and Lou! FULL SKULL BABY! FULL SKULL BABY! FULL SKULL BABY! FULL SKULL BABY! empty skull, sniff.
"Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein" is a pretty good movie. Most of the jokes are only chuckle-worthy, but overall the plot is interesting, the makeup is excellent and the Wolf Man special effects are really good for 1948.

The movie is about Chick (?)and Wilbur who work for a House of Horror in Florida. Wilbur had a beautiful girlfriend named Sandra whom the man is madly in love with. Someone donates the "bodies" of Dracula and Frankenstein's creature to the House of Horrors, and that's when the chaos begins. The monsters, especially Dracula, are like the living dead. They're trying to sneak out of their coffins, but only Wilbur sees them. Chick believes that it is all rubbish. Finally, Dracula runs off to a castle (in Florida?)with the Monster in hand where Sandra just happens to live. Sandra is a scientist (that's what I've read, but I like to believe that she was bitten by Dracula a long time ago and so lives to serve him and be bitten by him constantly)and the two plot to kidnap Wilbur and trade brains between the creature and the simple-minded Wilbur. Along the way, Wilbur and Chick meet a man, Lawrence, who knows about the existence of Dracula and Frankenstein's creature, but he just happens to be a werewolf and transform at every full moon (there happens to be three full moons in a row).

There are other characters and minor subplots that I've left out, but you basically get the concept. There are a couple of logical errors (even the title is messed up. Frankenstein was the creator of the monster, and besides Dracula is the main monster in the film)and Wilbur is quick to judge Frankenstein's creature. The ending is a very sad part: the monster does the boys a favor by throwing someone out the window (not telling who), and yet all they do is run, run, run! Finally, the creature throws things at Wilbur and Chick but I like to think that they hurt his feelings. He then meets another disaster, which I'm not going to give away.
