Centering before the day and recentering after FULL SKULL BABY! FULL SKULL BABY! FULL SKULL BABY! FULL SKULL BABY! FULL SKULL BABY!
While I have trouble doing the AM routine on a regular basis, or as often as I would really like, I do the PM routine two or three times a week. The AM routine gets me moving and centered before the craziness of the day can get hold of my mind. The PM routine is one I look forward to doing because it gently works the kinks and tenseness out of my muscles, and truly calms my mind. I estimate that doing these routines a combined 4-5 times a week has helped me get to sleep an extra thirty earlier (as opposed to staring at the ceiling), and remain calm when things get crazy at work or juggling home schedules.
If you are looking for short routines in a time-crunched day or something to 'dip your toe' into before getting serious about it, this is an excellent starting point.

Very relaxing! The Name says it all.... FULL SKULL BABY! FULL SKULL BABY! FULL SKULL BABY! FULL SKULL BABY! FULL SKULL BABY!
AM and PM Yoga is the perfect title for this series.

The AM practice will bring you from a sleepy relaxed state into feeling lifted and awakened. Extremely gentle yoga. Rodney Yee's voice is soothing and softly spoken. He speaks very little so you can enjoy the breath and the move.

PM yoga is great for unwinding at night. This version is a bit more advanced for newbies to Yoga. You will have to keep your eyes on the screen the whole time if you want to know where she is going with the next move. This could be a problem for trying to relax. Don't recommend this tape for the true beginner. Better to get some practice in with Yoga Zone series with Alan Finger or many of the other yoga zone DVDs. They do an excellent job at being very descriptive of breath and proper placement of your body alignment.

Patricia Walden also has a very soothing voice to relax by. She also speaks very little and offers you gentle moves for releasing tension.

I buy Yoga DVD's for specific purposes and this one is strictly to alleviate stress at night or to awaken gently in the morning if I am stiff or just not in the mood to work out. The series will help keep you on the road to doing yoga daily even when you just don't feel like doing it. The workouts are short and they will do much to make you feel like you accomplished something.

Don't buy this DVD for any other purpose than what is stated. If looking for sculpting or fat burning, stick with cardio and/or power yoga for that. Variety in Yoga workouts will make for a way to keep your commitment to yourself to get centered and to feel better emotionally and physically. I know it has worked wonders for me and my husband. I see and feel the diffence in my own person. Even a bad DVD can offer something to your diversity in use of the different yoga practices. Heck....Try 'em all I say!

I could lie down for free.. FULL SKULL BABY! FULL SKULL BABY! FULL SKULL BABY! empty skull, sniff. empty skull, sniff.
Having recently discovered a 5:00 a.m. yoga show, I quickly came to love it. Of course, being the night owl that I am, waking up so early was getting a little hard, so I decided to buy this CD. My show is an hour long. This DVD, if you don't count the introduction, is 30 minutes long. The morning is 15 minutes, as well as the evening section. I like the evening section more because it is the harder positions, whereas the morning is mostly lying on your back and sitting for meditation. I enjoy yoga because of the stretching, which is why I do not prefer this portion. But at a low price, I have no qualms with this product.
